About

Mark Eadie founded Meon Associates in 2014 to provide environmental and social/community relations consulting services. Also provided is advice on brand and reputation, stakeholder engagement and government relations, and communications. He has also helped organisations restore their reputation and to manage significant issues and crises.

He has recent experience across multiple sectors, notably mining, oil and gas, palm oil, agribusiness, manufacturing, tourism and infrastructure.

He set up the Environmental and Social Risk Management team at one global bank, and has recently spent 15 months contracted to another global bank while the Head of ESRM was on maternity leave. He has advised other banks on ESG matters related to due diligence and management of projects, investments, lending and financing for many hundreds of clients and companies.

He has spent time on the Steering Committee of the Equator Principles Association, co-led an Equator Principles work-group and advised both banks and bank clients on implementation of both the Equator Principles and the IFC Performance Standards.

He has recent operational HSE experience, at both manager and director level, in mining companies, and - earlier on - in oil and gas companies.

He has provided strategic sustainability advice to main boards and to the executive management of financial institutions and industrial and service corporations.

While the services are global, he has long-term experience in Africa and in Asia, especially China; other associates have particular experience in South America and Eastern Europe.

Meon Associates is based in south-east England but works globally. The company is named after the local River Meon that meanders its way through south-east Hampshire to the Solent, near Titchfield.
